LifeStages Centers for Women Named Quality Champion

DAYTON, Ohio (March 1, 2018) – Lifestages Centers for Women has been named an Urogynecology Quality Champion by the American Urogynecologic Society (AUG). The recognition is given to practices that demonstrate quality in the way they care for and track the services provided to women with pelvic floor disorders.  Information such as how patients were treated, what procedure was done, and how follow up was carried out were among those tracked. The AUG recognition is given to practices it sees as offering a competitive edge in pelvic floor care in its particular region.

A pelvic floor disorder occurs when women have weakened pelvic muscles or tears in the connective tissue due to excessive strains on the pelvis due to childbirth, repeated strenuous activity, menopause, chronic disease or pelvic surgery. Other factors that can weaken the pelvic floor include repetitive lifting, tobacco use and genetics.

“We are extremely proud of this accomplishment,” said William Rush, MD, who serves on the practice’s urogynecology team with Elyse Weber, PA-C and Britany Mathias, PA-C. “Pelvic floor disorders are a health issue that has a significant impact on a woman’s life. It’s our goal to provide the best care possible to help her regain the quality of life she has lost.”

Lifestages Centers for Women has multiple locations including Centerville, Dayton, Englewood, Huber Heights and Middletown. The office is accepting new patients and can be reached by calling 937-277-8988.
